WHY ISN’T MY REVENUE GROWING?
You’re good at what you do. Your clients are happy, and you know the value of the work you deliver. So why isn’t that value reflected in the growth of your revenue?
Perhaps the first question isn’t how to sell more. Do the right people know your business exists? And when they find you, is it immediately clear what you do, why it matters to them, and why they should choose you? Does what you offer genuinely match what they are looking for?
Then consider what happens next. Does interest turn into enquiries, and do those enquiries turn into sales? Or are potential customers quietly dropping away somewhere along the journey? More importantly, do you know where — and why?
And what happens after the sale? Do your customers have an experience that gives them a reason to return, recommend you and continue their relationship with your business? Or do you find yourself having to win new customers again and again simply to maintain your current level of revenue?
VISIBILITY → DEMAND → SALES → EXPERIENCE → REPEAT BUSINESS → SUSTAINABLE REVENUE
Revenue is the outcome of this entire chain. So when it isn’t growing, the answer isn’t necessarily more advertising, more content or reaching more people. A business may already be generating interest but failing to convert it into sales. It may be making sales but losing customers afterwards. Or it may simply be doing excellent work that the right people still don’t know about.
The real question is: do you know which part of the journey is limiting your growth right now?
